The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Angela Ponomariov, participated to an event in Marcham, dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of the establishment of the Marcham - Republic of Moldova Partnership.

About 90 guests were present at the event, most of them involved in the projects implemented during the mentioned period in our country. During the evening, a review of the achieved activities was made and the future objectives have been outlined. In particular, it was mentioned about the student exchanges between the Abingdon School in Oxfordshire County and the "Grigore Vieru" High School from Ialoveni, the organising of sign language lessons, free English lessons, offering training courses for teachers, technical donations for schools in the villages of Moldova, offering seeds to peasant households, etc.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova thanked those present for the dedication with which they are involved in carrying out projects in our country, encouraging them to further develop the established partnership. Also, Angela Ponomariov gave a brief presentation of the Republic of Moldova, urging those who have not yet visited it to do so in the near future.

The money collected as a result of this event was directed to equip a kitchen room in the community center of Cobani village, Glodeni district.
