On 20 June, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in London, in cooperation with representatives of the British Parliament and charitable organisations from the United Kingdom, active in our country, organised an event dedicated to the Republic of Moldova, which took place in the British Parliament.

Rt. Hon. John Whittingdale, Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Moldova, and Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Angela Ponomariov, addressed the audience with speeches, highlighting the importance of further deepening of the Moldovan-British bilateral relations in various areas, in the context of overcoming the political crisis in the Republic of Moldova and the beginning of activity of the Government in Chisinau.

During the event, which aimed at promoting visibility of the Republic of Moldova in UK, the participants were informed about various facts about the history, culture and traditions of our country.

The Embassy is particularly grateful to Mr. Tony Hawks, MBE, a well-known British actor, writer, musician and philanthropist, who moderated the event, Mr. Ion Lazarenco, for important effort to promote the image of our country, Mrs Jane Ebel, MBE, for business-to-charity initiatives, talented violinist, Dan Iulian Druţac, for classical live music, Mr. Ion Mereacre, for co-sponsorship, and all the guests who through their presence contributed to the creation of a special atmosphere!
