The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Angela Ponomariov, participated at the event, held in the House of Commons, devoted to the role of women in diplomacy and politics in the contemporary world - "Great Britain and Eurasian Women of the Decade in Diplomacy and Politics: Challenges and Leadership ", organised by "Conservative Friends of Eurasia".

In her speech, the Ambassador referred to the normative changes implemented in the Republic of Moldova regarding the introduction of the minimum gender representation quotas for women on the lists of candidates of the political parties in the parliamentary elections and for the creation for of the Government, as well as actions taken in the Republic of Moldova aimed at ensuring equal opportunities.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in London used this opportunity to promote Moldovan wines, which were tasted and appreciated by the participants.
