Legalization of documents/Apostille

The Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 on Apostille entered into force on 16 March 2007 in the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, the Ministry of Justice of Moldova will affix the Apostille to documents issued by official bodies, or with their participation, which are intended to produce legal effects on the territory of the United Kingdom.

At the same time, the British Apostille is recognised, without additional legalisation by the Embassy of Moldova in London.

For British certificates of civil status (birth, marriage, divorce, death certificates etc), as well as those for use in the Republic of Moldova, legalisation (Apostille) is performed at the following address:
